Connect with workers that know more

Having the right workforce to get your product to market and jobs done on time is hard.  Generating profit whilst reducing IR, Food Safety and OHS risks are critical to your success.

FarmReady aims to reduce these burdens through the education and preparation of your workers, whether they are short-term casuals or longer-term careers.   Better prepared staff who have been pre-trained learn faster.  They better absorb critical information during your onsite inductions and early days of employment, resulting in a wiser workforce.  By asking new workers to be a FarmReady Cardholder – you are receiving all these benefits for free as well as being proactive in the care of our people and industry.

  • Reduce employment paperwork & information run-around
  • Manage your letter of offer for general use or, COVID-19 Border Crossing through the information exchange function
  • Concentrate on your critical on-the-job training
  • Source people who ‘want to work in agriculture’ (short term and careers)
  • Show good management practices for IR, Industrial relations, FairFarms etc
  • Industry endorsed; government-backed
  • Get seen as an employer of choice
  • Increased profits through greater productivity
  • Get connected to agricultural students and those looking to enter careers

Employer Directory Signup

Freely list your business or employment service in the Employer Directory.  Putting you directly in front of FarmReady Cardholders.  Be their first choice.

Do you use contractors, labour-hire providers or employment agencies?

You can still benefit.   Just speak with your staffing provider and enter their details against your Employment Directory listing.

Are you a larger farming corporation?

The FarmReady Cardholder is for you.  Your staff will arrive prepared to learn your specific inductions and on-the-job training. Workers who can hit the ground running reduce costs considerably.  Workers who have the correct ‘underpinning knowledge’ about legislation, industrial relations, safety and agriculture will absorb your workforce environment better.  Improving productivity and helping you to meet the ever-increasing pressures of staff training in OHS, IR, food safety etc.

How it works – the Employer Directory

FarmReady Hub’s purpose is to train and provide connections.  It is not an employment agency and does not place people into jobs.   However, the Hub houses information on each Queensland region.  Within each of these regions, there is a new Employer Directory where contacts are listed for government employment agencies, programs, industry notice boards, LHPs, farms and employers.  This is a free community service.

The FarmReady Employer Directory can freely list employers wishing to be promoted to job seekers – putting you front and centre.  You can remove or modify your listing anytime – just ask.

It is the responsibility of a job seeker to contact your listed details and apply for work through your standard process.

Product & Service Providers

Any quality organisation that has information, products and services may list their details on the FarmReady Hub website. Organisations may include government, job actives, agencies, tourism, accommodation, transport or community groups etc.

If you would like to go one step further, any business is more than welcome to provide a discount to a FarmReady Cardholder.  Further promoting our regional communities and economy.
